How Much Do Video Editors Make Money ?
I'm want to tell you the highest-paying video editing jobs alright video editing videography and how to make money.
We're going to be breaking down the highest paid video editing jobs the highest paying video editing jobs out there more specifically in the freelance sector.
One is gonna be animation hands down this field this category of jobs is massively paid and there's loads of different subcategories right so of course.
If we're talking about animation the highest paid stuff is gonna be 3d animation this stuff hands down is gonna be the highest paid takes the longest and you know because of that long process of you know the creation time it's gonna be well paid.
You know it could be you know a lot of hours into a very small you know time scale of stuff so it's a lot of work being put into these projects. so 3d animation hands down is you know some of the highest paid video.
Video editing work you can get out there if you'd even classify it as video editing work I'm throwing it in here because this field is massively paid massively high paid but you might even kind of disqualify this as video anything and say that it's animation in its own sector but hands down 3d animation well paid.
So well paid also 2d infographics a lot of companies want kind of infographic videos. Where you know everything's connecting and you know that's extremely well paid as well and of course standard motion graphics.
Motion graphics kind of tie in with those 2d infographics but they are different in theory not even in theory they are different so hands down animation as a area is extremely well paid.
You're gonna be getting thousands for for a project minimum trust me and you know the this kind of area here is places where you can be getting 10 grand plus for a project.
Which is insane you know personally I steer clear from all the animation I've done stuff involved in this area before but it is a little bit too much for my head to comprehend but I'm throwing it on the list because I know there's so much money involved in this.
If you can really get into it and you love it and overall it's enjoyable to you you can be taken home a lot of money for a project you know hands down a lot a lot of money moving on advanced effects are in terms of the freelance sector.
Where you can pick up a bunch of money for you know just jump in from project to project a lot of the time if you go on some freelance websites so for example up work if you guys follow my blogger for a little bit you know that's my favourite freelance websites.
Where I get all my work from and if you go to a site like up-work you can find people who want you know just editor to come in and do some advanced effects whether that be you know some green screening or some rotoscoping or some you know advanced VFX these sort of things that aren't just your regular video editing tasks.
You know people are putting out these jobs out there and paying thousands of dollars trust me for someone to for example take the rotoscope tool in after-effects and you know switch some faces around or something like that so stuff that is a little bit tricky.
It's definitely not the easiest thing in the world to do but you know it's possible 100% and you know if you're into these kind of advanced effects you can be picking up a few grand for easy or not necessarily super easy but a pretty.
Straight forward job like what I just said there that was a legitimate example that I just referenced where you know I've seen people on up work for example posting jobs of asking people to take the rotoscope tool switch the faces around of two people obviously make it.
look believable and you know paying like 1.5 grand for a job like that which honestly depending on your skill level might take you a day you know so if you're making 1.5 K for a few hours of edits on you know of an advanced effects project that's that's great to be honest from where I'm standing I would classify that as really good money and really high paid.
So hands down advanced effects whether that be rotoscoping green screening and overall just VFX you're gonna be getting paid a shitload of money for that sort of stuff trust me and for not that much time to do the stuff because it's such an advanced effect.
They're not paying you by the hour you know it's such a exclusive skill I guess they you'll be paid by projects.
I was like I said I've seen thousand two thousand five hundred projects just for some simple stuff like some green screening or some rotoscoping next up explainers this category super super well-paid for a specific reason.
That these explainers are most of the time coming from companies with budgets so the explainer category is broken down into like demonstration videos so for example or even corporate kind of videos as well which that ties it into the big companies for example this video on screen right now.
This is a animation I've created which essentially was put together through paid templates and this right here is an explainer video for doller currency trading platform as paid over a grand to create this video right here and in theory all I did was just pay for some templates and then customize them to my liking and go back and forth with the company and then get paid a thousand dollars for really just knowing.
How to use an advanced custom paid template like this and you know tweak it to my liking which that might sound super straight forward but in theory it does there are other elements to the process that you don't kind of foresee and this particular project.
You don't like three or four weeks just to go back and forth with them editing a template which you know in theory you know isn't the hardest thing to do in the world not very hard at all but just to get it perfect.
We have to go back and forth a lot but I got paid for a grand for it so hands down you know these explainer kind of corporate areas are gonna be places you can get a lot of money for the reason for that is because they're working with a budget a lot of the time.
If you're going for an independent client someone who's just them and their budget they don't have much money to spend they're trying to get the cheapest deal possible and they're trying to save money.
If you're going for a corporate company they got a budget they're working with and they're not eating into their money they're eating into the companies money you know with or the company's budget so it doesn't kind of feel that much of the loss.
Hence they have bigger budgets allocated to this and they can put more money towards videos like this so overall explainers massively well paid advanced effects massively.
Well paid and animations of all sorts whether it be 2d or 3d massively well paid hands down I classify these three sectors as the highest paying video editing jobs or video editing categories.
Thank You So Much
